The Pacific County Sheriff’s Department is clearing up some questions about a large police presence on Friday. According to the Sheriff’s office, the US Marshal’s Service requested the assistance of the Pacific County Drug Task Force in apprehending a suspect that was staying at the Adrift Hotel in Long Beach. The person, who was wanted on several counts of assault and unlawful possession of a gun was taken into custody and the sheriff’s department called the operation a success.
