Power Outage In South Beach Area Sunday

A car struck a utility pole on State Route 5 and knocked out the lights for customers in Grayland down to Tokeland.

Over 2,300 Grays Harbor PUD customers were without power for part of Sunday. A car struck a utility pole on State Route 5 and knocked out the lights for customers in Grayland down to Tokeland. Within a few hours PUD crews had installed a new pole and reconnected power. No word on what happened to the person who hit the pole.
