Simpson Avenue Bridge To Close Next Week

WSDOT crews will address cracks found during a recent inspection by welding and reinforcing the beams.

Starting next Monday, the US 101 Simpson Avenue Bridge in Hoquiam will be closed to all traffic from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Thursday, Jan. 30, for steel beam repairs. WSDOT crews will address cracks found during a recent inspection by welding and reinforcing the beams. During the closure, drivers will be detoured through the Riverside Bridge, which will be reconfigured to accommodate two-way traffic. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to plan ahead.
