As mentioned on Local Matters, Amazon is quietly building a major delivery hub in Elma. More recently, the Daily World reports construction is underway on a 49,100-square-foot warehouse, complete with parking for more than 200 vehicles, on land the company bought in February. The project, dubbed “Project Eagle,” is expected to increase local traffic but won’t require an environmental impact statement. City leaders say the facility is a welcome addition that reflects Elma’s growing appeal.
