Ambulance Service Going Up In Hoquiam

At the last city council meeting of the year, city leaders voted to more than double the Ambulance utility service fee.

It will soon cost more for ambulance service in Hoquiam. At the last city council meeting of the year, city leaders voted to more than double the Ambulance utility service fee. Council members say figures show that medical and ambulance operating costs have gone up by $2 million per year since 2017, which equals a 60 percent increase. The rate will go up incrementally starting January 1st from the current $19.23 to $38.64 per month. By 2026 the ambulance utility rate will be at $43.28
