A complaint with the Public Disclosure Commission has been filed against the mayor of Ocean Shores.
The complaint against Jon Martin says that at a September city council meeting he allowed a public
speaker to “campaign” in favor prop 1 during meeting. Proposition one is the bond measure to build a
new Ocean Shores police station. The complaint filed by a former city council member says that the
mayor allowed the speaker to talk for 3 minutes on the measure, breaking both Council policy and
Washington State rules on campaigning at a public government meeting. Mayor Martin has until
October 24 th to reply to the complaint.
