WSDOT says they will be reducing the speed limit on US 12 near Oakville starting next month.

Drivers beware. WSDOT says they will be reducing the speed limit on US 12 near Oakville starting next month. Following a transportation study for the area, the state will reduce the speed limit as you approach the Oakville city limits on both the east and west sides. The speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph in an effort to allow traffic to safely entering Oakville, where the posted speed limit is 30 mph. Police will be enforcing the new speed limit as soon as the signs are in place, which could be as early as March 11th.
