Drug Bust By Elma Police

Over $30,000 worth of suspected fentanyl laced pills were recovered.

Elma Police take thousands of dollars’ worth of deadly drugs off the streets. Back on February 19th, an Elma Police officer on patrol noticed a car at the 10th Street Park after hours. While questioning the driver, the officer noticed a digital scale and also discovered cash and unknown pills. He placed the man under arrest for probable cause of possession of drugs. The man, a self-professed Mexican immigrant here on a work visa but with no identification, refused to let police search his vehicle and was eventually released before the search warrant came through. When police finally searched the car, over $30,000 worth of suspected fentanyl laced pills were recovered. Those drugs will be sent to the state crime lab to confirm they are illegal drugs.
