Grays Harbor and Pacific County officials, along with other local emergency management officials will take part in a national test of the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alert system this week. On Wednesday, October 4th an Emergency Alert System Test Message will be sent to all radio and tv stations, while at the same time a test will be sent to cell phones nationwide to test the effectiveness of the Wireless Alert System. The test is set for 11:20am our time and the wireless message will read: THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System.
