The first of three tiny homes being built through Habitat for Humanity of Grays Harbor was completed with a key presentation to the new homeowner this past weekend. Judith Cissner was chosen to receive House # 19, built in South Aberdeen. The home was the first of three tiny homes being built by Habitat for Humanity of Grays Harbor with funding secured through the county’s Affordable Housing Pipeline in 2021. Homeowners must fall below a certain income level to qualify, and they must participate in the building process. Habitat holds the loan, and the homeowner must pay 30 percent of their monthly income for payment. You can go to the habitat’s Facebook page to see photos of the ribbon cutting ceremony and find out how you can volunteer for other Habitat projects.
