Ironically unemployment rates for both counties went down for April, but not as much as the rest of the state. Grays Harbor’s unemployment number dropped a whole point from March to 6.6 percent in April while Pacific County’s number went from a 7.8 in March to 6.6 last month. Ferry county, at 8.2 percent had the highest unemployment rate in the state.
