The Grays Harbor County Sheriff has been named as part of a lawsuit looking to stop the ban on high-capacity magazines from taking effect in Washington next month. Sheriff Rick Scott, Grays Harbor Superior Court Judge Katie Svoboda, as well as officials in several other Washington counties along with the state Attorney General are named as defendants in the lawsuit filed late last week by one individual and several gun rights groups. The lawsuit contends that banning the magazines would go against the 2nd amendment. The sheriff and judge are listed in the suit due to their ability to enforce the measure. SB 5078 would ban the sale and manufacture of gun magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.
