Hoquiam is getting ready to flush its fire hydrants starting next week, part of routine maintenance to keep the water system in good shape. Crews will be working their way through the city from early May through the end of June. You’ll see them out Monday through Friday from 6 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. During that time, your water might look a little discolored or cloudy for a short while. City leaders say that’s normal and part of clearing out sediment to keep everything running clean and safe.
