Troopers say one person is dead out of Mason County after a hit and run. State Patrol says it happened about 7:30pm Saturday o State Route 101 just north of 102. A 25-year-old man was driving south and crossed the center line hitting a vehicle going in the opposite direction. A 91-year-old passenger in the vehicle that was hit died after being airlifted to the hospital. Troopers say the suspect initially fled the scene but was later caught. He faces vehicular homicide, DUI and other charges.
