A missing kayaker from Aberdeen was found dead last week on Sand Island, just east of Ocean Shores. The Daily World reports 19 year old Genesis Miramontes got separated from her boyfriend on August 16th. The boyfriend spends the day on the 17th looking for her and calls police when he can’t locate her on the 19th. The victim was taken by Life Flight but later pronounced dead. An autopsy is pending and the investigation into her death remains open.
