Recent controversy in Aberdeen was in the spotlight at the Aberdeen City Council meeting. The Council meeting opened with an executive session to discuss complaints and charges brought about by a public officer or employee. The executive session came less than 24 hours after the arrest of Councilman Riley Carter, his second arrest in 2024. The latest arrest is for charges of rape of a child. No action from the executive session. Several members of the public were in attendance to make complaints about recent comments and actions by council members.
