Hoquiam city leaders say they need more money to complete the renovations to the historic Olympic stadium. Since the stadium is registered o the national list of historic places, there are certain guidelines that must be followed and the cost for some of those requirements is high. While over $900,000 in grants have been given for the project, the city must raise an additional $735,000 to complete the siding work. The mayor and city council will hold a workshop on June 13th before the regular meeting to discuss funding options.
