One Man is Dead After Shooting In Hoquiam Last Night

Police were dispatched just after 9pm to the Ace of Clubs Tavern on Simpson Avenue.

One man is dead, and another in custody after shooting in Hoquiam last night. Police were dispatched
just after 9pm to the Ace of Clubs Tavern on Simpson Avenue where they found man with a gunshot
wound in the back parking lot. Paramedics pronounced the man dead on the scene from what appeared
to be a gunshot. According to a press release, the suspect never left the scene and was taken into
custody. A motive in the shooting has not been announced and the investigation is on-going. Hoquiam
PD was assisted by Aberdeen police, Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Deputies and Washington State Patrol.
