As we mentioned yesterday, this week is filing week in Washington for anyone wanting to run for a political office. Today we will take a closer look at what officers are open this year in Grays Harbor and Pacific counties. Races for 2022 include county assessor, county prosecutor, the sheriff and a commissioner’s seat. There’s also races for state legislative seats for the 19th and 24th districts, the 6th U.S. Congressional district and a seat on the U.S. senate. Candidates must apply to run by close of business this Friday, May 20th. You can do so online through the link at our website or during regular business hours at your local election office.
