Grays Harbor PUD now says scammers are hijacking their phone number. The utility provider says they received numerous reports last week that customers were getting phone calls that looked like the call was coming from the PUD but in fact it is scammers getting more sophisticated. If you get a call from a number that looks like its from the utility and the person is demanding immediate payment or they will cut off your lights, experts say hang up and call the Grays Harbor PUD customer service number back directly if you need to check the status of your account.
