Razor Clam Dig Put On Hold

The Razor clam dig that was set to start later this week is being put on hold until further notice.

The Razor clam dig that was set to start later this week is being put on hold until further notice. The
state department of fish and wildlife says toxic levels of domoic acid from algae have been found in
many of the beaches where the digs were scheduled to take place. The department had originally
scheduled 56 days for digs after the summer clam population showed to be strong. Officials say regular
testing will continue and when the toxin levels return to a safe range, the clam digs may resume. You
can keep up with the latest clam dig information on the state’s website.
