Crews will first begin work on the shoulder of 101 just north of Hoquiam next week and continue through the summer and fall. The work is part of the US 101 Grays Harbor Creek fish barrier removal project. As construction progresses, drivers can expect alternating lanes of traffic blocked with speeds reduced to 25 mph. There will also be around the clock closures that will require a detour. The work will continue through October.
