Westport Golf Links, a $30 million project in partnership with Washington State Parks, is entering a 45-day public comment period after its Environmental Impact Study. In addition to a new golf course, the project will restore and enhance over 90 acres of rare saltmarsh habitats, support endangered species, and implement an invasive species management program to reduce fire risk in the region. However, the development has faced opposition from environmental groups who argue that the project would disrupt valuable wetland habitats and violate past agreements restricting development on the land.
