If approved the fee would increase in 2025.
In an effort to shore up an over $3 million budget shortfall Aberdeen is looking at doubling the business license fee. Currently there is a $25 business license fee and no renewal fee. The proposal would put the new business license fee at $50 and would also impose a $50 annual renewal fee. This would also put Aberdeen in line with neighboring towns including Hoquiam and ocean shores, both of which have $50 fees with annual renewals. If approved the fee would increase in 2025.
