Aberdeen Police Appoint Interim Police Chief

The Aberdeen police department has appointed an interim police chief following the retirement of chief Steve Shumate.

The Aberdeen police department has appointed an interim police chief following the retirement of chief Steve Shumate. Commander Dale Green will serve in the interim position and has been wit the department for 25 years. Interim Chief Green is a graduate of Montesano high school, Grays Harbor College, and Washington State University. Green also recently graduated from the FBIs National Academy at Quantico, Virginia. The city will begin testing for the permanent chief’s position later this year.
