The funding will allow the program to continue until at least the end of 2022.
The Grays Harbor EMS & Trauma Care Council says they will not be closing at the end of the month thanks to some last-minute funding. The Quinault Business Committee of the Quinault Nation recently voted to give funding to the organization that provides training and certification to EMTs and other first responders in Grays Harbor. The funding will allow the program to continue until at least the end of 2022. Grays Harbor EMS lost funding in 2020 when the state auditors office determined it was illegal for the transit authority to fund the organization. Varies private donations has kept them in operation since then.
