The Grays Harbor Commissioners have agreed to form a committee that will handle applications for money from recent opioid settlements. Last month Washington State received $6.5 billion form settlements with pharmaceutical companies for their part in the opioid crisis. Of that money, $6.5 million will be split between Grays Harbor County and the City of Aberdeen. The settlement money will be paid over the next 17 years and this committee will help decide which organizations and which projects will receive funds. That committee will meet soon to work out an approval process for funding.
