Grays Harbor County Boundary Review Board Green Lights 43 Acres Into McCleary

The land sits behind the Summit Place 2 neighborhood, and a Montesano developer is planning to build around 70 new lots there.

McCleary could be getting a lot bigger. The Grays Harbor County Boundary Review Board gave the green light last week to annex almost 43 acres of forestland into the city. The land sits behind the Summit Place 2 neighborhood, and a Montesano developer is planning to build around 70 new lots there. The city's been working on this since February, and had to circle back and hold a public hearing it missed earlier in the process. Now it's up to the McCleary City Council to vote on the annexation, and that could happen as soon as this Wednesday's meeting.
