LGBTQ history will soon be part of the curriculum at schools in Grays Harbor and Pacific County. Governor Jay Inslee signed a bill into law this week that requires schools to teach LGBTQ history starting in 2025. The curriculum must include the histories and contributions of LGBTQ figures, as well as the histories of people with various racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds. Supporters of the measure say the goal is to eliminate bias in learning materials.
