A major fishing dock at Westport Marina is getting federal money for replacement. The Port of Grays Harbor announced a $6.3 million grant Tuesday for Float 15. Another $3 million in nonfederal funding will help pay for the project. The work includes new docks and pilings, better electrical service, drinking water connections and fire suppression equipment. The port says preliminary design is finished and major permits are in place. Float 15 serves some of Westport’s largest fishing vessels. A construction start date wasn’t included in the announcement.
