Teens interested in becoming firefighters can now sign up for a unique summer training opportunity through the Twin Harbors Skill Center. The Intro to Firefighting course returns for its third year in partnership with the Aberdeen Fire Department and is open to incoming juniors and seniors from Grays Harbor and Pacific counties. Students will work alongside real firefighters, learn basic firefighting skills, gain hands-on experience, and earn school credit during the three-week program. Organizers say registration is open now, but spots are expected to fill quickly.
