Aberdeen’s new fire chief may be a familiar name. The Aberdeen Fire Department announced that interim chief Dave Golding has been named to that position permanently. Golding took over as interim chief back in June when chief Hubbard retired. Chief Golding has risen through the ranks after first starting with the department in 1998. Back in July, the job was accepted by John Clark, but he backed out before officially taking over.
