Bail is set and half a million dollars for the man accused of killing a Hoquiam man last week. 35-year-old Stephen Shay is charged with 2nd degree murder and manslaughter in the blunt force trauma death of Bryce Bitar at a home in Hoquiam. Investigators told The Daily World that Smith was initially a person of interest but was not charged until after he had been admitted to the hospital. Following an interview with Smith , police were able to make the arrest. Details of what happened are still being looked at.
