Hoquiam police are reminding drivers to take extra caution in the area of Lincoln Street and Soule Ave. A 15-year-old was hit by a truck on Monday. Investigators say the boy was trying to cross Lincoln street and because of a legally parked vehicle, he couldn’t see the oncoming truck and the driver could not see the teen. Luckily the boy only suffered minor scrapes and bumps, but Hoquiam Police say with the closure of 109, the is increased traffic on Lincoln street and drivers, bike riders and walkers are urged to be careful in the area.
