East Grays Harbor Fire officials have released an update about a wildfire yesterday evening off Elma McCleary Road. A press release says the fire started in a structure, then spread to nearby vegetation. The state department of Natural Resources used helicopters to help contain the fire. The regional Fire Defense Plan was put into motion with resources from Grays Harbor and Thurston counties. No evacuations were evert ordered and no injuries were reported. The cause of the initial structure fire is under investigation.
