A big win for students at Elma Elementary, where this year’s Fun Run raised more than $42,000.

A big win for students at Elma Elementary, where this year’s Fun Run raised more than $42,000. That’s well past the goal, and organizers say it means they can keep funding school programs and start some needed upgrades. One of the big projects is new basketball hoops for the playground, something students have been needing for a while. The effort also got a boost from a grant through the Grays Harbor Community Foundation. Those improvements are expected to be in place by this summer.
