Derek Jensen boarded an airplane for North Carolina yesterday.

A Hoquiam firefighter is in North Carolina this morning helping with recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Derek Jensen boarded an airplane for North Carolina on Monday to be a Task Force Leader with NorthWest Incident Management Team #10. NW 10 and the team will be helping of the next several days to weeks. Specific details on what Derick and the team will be doing weren’t immediately available yesterday.
