The Hoquiam School District will ask voters to pass a $42 million school bond in February. The school board made that decision during a special session last week. District officials say if voters approve that amount, the state will kick in an additional $22 million for the estimated $61 million in renovations and expansion plans. Voters in Hoquiam approved almost $7 million in 2018 for renovations to the high school. The vote in February will need a 60 percent super majority to pass.
