The fire that started Tuesday afternoon has already prompted a level 3 “Get Out Now” evacuation for dozens closest to the fire northeast of Shelton.

The McEwan Fire in Mason County continues to threaten more homes. The fire that started Tuesday afternoon has already prompted a level 3 “Get Out Now” evacuation for dozens closest to the fire northeast of Shelton. There’s also a level 2 “Be Ready to Leave “evacuation for many in the path of the brush fire that has consumed 250 acres so far and is said to have no containment. A shelter has been announced at the Shelton YMCA and the Red Cross is providing shelter at the Olympic Middle School.
