Hoquiam Police Department says officers responded to a call involving a woman in distress who came outside her home with a rifle before being talked back inside. She later returned to the porch highly agitated, and officers continued working to calm the situation. Grays Harbor Scanner says she was safely taken into protective custody for mental health help, and the street has since reopened.
