An “event tent” could be put up and kids could go outside even on rainy days.
The Aberdeen School District said this week that work is underway for a new outdoor space for students at Miller Junior High School. The idea was for a space where an “event tent” could be put up and kids could go outside even on rainy days. Superintendent Alicia Henderson proposed the plan last fall so that students could go outside and have a “mask break”. Even though the makes mandate in schools has been lifted, the district is moving forward with the space that can have various uses, including during outdoor P.E. classes.
