New details are coming out regarding the abrupt resignation of the North Beach School District superintendent. After the school board put Andy Kelly on paid leave in mid-March to investigate information they had received, Kelly resigned one month later. Now, Fox 13 out of Seattle reports that according to an Ocean Shores Police report, a woman who is on the school board accused Kelly of assaulting her in September of 2021. The woman said Kelly invited her over to his home and when she got there, he forced her to kiss him and tried to block her from leaving. Kelly denied assaulting the woman but did admit to drinking wine that night, which was a violation of an agreement from a DUI arrest in 2017. Kelly’ resignation will be effective on June 30th.
