The Pacific County Health Department is trying to publicly answer some questions about Avian Influenza now that the virus has been found in the county. If you have a commercial or private flock, you should disinfect everything you use around your birds including clothing and tools. They also recommend you limit visitors on your property, never handle any wild birds and keep pests away from your fowl. Health officials say these are best practices and there are currently no mandates in place
