Pacific County will receive a portion of a $40 million Washington State economic redevelopment fund. On Thursday the state’s Community Economic Revitalization Board approved the first round of funding for economic development feasibility studies in four counties including Pacific County. A $50,000 grant will go to the Port of Willapa Harbor for the Bendiksen Landing Planning Study. Experts say that study will assess the redevelopment of the site by learning what could spur broadband deployment, business growth and job creation.
