A pay raise proposal for three Grays Harbor County prosecutors sparked sharp debate at this week’s commission meeting. Chief Deputy Daniel Crawford said his team is carrying a heavy load of serious felony cases and deserves salaries that reflect that work. Commissioner Georgia Miller wasn’t convinced, pointing out the attorneys are still early in their careers. Crawford pushed back, saying experience or not, they’re performing like veterans handling major cases.
