The Red Cross is coming to Aberdeen this fall to install smoke alarms to homes in need and they need your help. The Aberdeen Fire Department is looking for 45 volunteers to help with the “Sounding the Alarm” event in October. On October 14th a pre-canvassing event will happen to help spread the word about free smoke detectors. Then on October 21st volunteers will receive training and help to install smoke detectors in homes. Details can be found through the link on our website.
