Montesano, WA – Grays Harbor County Public Works Department will temporarily restrict truck traffic on the Sickman Ford Bridge near Oakville (South Bank Road at milepost 1.7) on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
This full-day closure to trucks is required for a routine bridge inspection, including a specialized Nonredundant Steel Tension Member inspection. The County has partnered with the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), which will use an Under Bridge Inspection Truck (UBIT) to closely examine critical bridge components.
During the work:
- The bridge will switch to flagger-controlled alternating one-way traffic.
- Only light passenger vehicles will be allowed due to the UBIT occupying one lane.
- Traffic control hours: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Motorists should plan alternate routes if possible, especially those with trucks or heavy vehicles. Expect minor delays in the area.
