Aberdeen police say scammers are making calls that appear to come from the department’s real phone number. Two people reported calls Friday from someone claiming to be an Aberdeen officer, but police say no officer by that name works there. The calls displayed the department’s 360-533-3180 number because caller identification can be manipulated. No one had reported losing money. Police say don’t provide personal or financial information. Suspicious calls can be reported through Grays Harbor Communications at 360-533-8765.
