Aberdeen Fire Department Has A New Chief

Who is currently the head of North Whidbey Fire and Rescue.

The Aberdeen Fire Department has its new chief. Last week city council approved the mayor and personnel committee’s recommendation to hire John Clark, who is currently the head of North Whidbey Fire and Rescue. He’s been there since 2020 and before that has lead departments in Oregon and Michigan. Clark holds a bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering and a master’s degree in safety administration. Clark also has experience as a paramedic, fire instructor and emergency manager. Clark will begin his new role leading the department here I Aberdeen August 1^st.
