Close to 60 percent of razor clam digs this past season were cancelled following toxic water test results.

Close to 60 percent of razor clam digs this past season were cancelled following toxic water test results. Washington Fish and Wildlife posted 56 scheduled dig dates last September. Including the most recent dates from the end of December, 33 of the 56 dates were canceled or postponed due to high toxin levels in sample razor clams. It could be several months before any spring dig dates will be announced.
